Sarah Omakwu is a native of Kaduna, Nigeria, widow of Pastor Inalegwu Omakwu of blessed memory. She was born in Kaduna on July 31, 1962.
On April 11, 1993, she and her late husband founded Family Worship Centre, one of Abuja’s liveliest Christian congregations, with branches all over the country and situated in Wuye District. Three grown children, Blessing Omakwu, Favour Omakwu, and Worthy Omakwu, are her blessings.
Pastor Sarah is currently the President of Family Ministries International and the Senior Pastor of the Family Worship Centre in Abuja. In her compassion, generosity, and caring, she fervently exemplifies God’s agape love. The Family Worship Centre’s extensive assistance to widows, orphans, prisoners, and those displaced by religious conflict stems from her conviction that the gospel should be “good news” to the weak and vulnerable. She also runs the Sarina Project, which takes in street girls for rehabilitation.
Sarah Omakwu’s sermons have touched many people’s hearts, and she intends to take the gospel to every corner of the globe. The church boasts 147 locations across the country, an estimated 30,000 members, and millions of worshippers online.
