The Ufia Amazon, is a native of Odikpe, Ogi Utonkon, Ado local government area of Benue State. She is the fourth Child of Late Mr. Francis Isagi Urrah, Senior, a former Controllar General ( Technical) Nigerian Prison Service, now Correctional Centre.
She’s a Philanthropist, mentor, trainer, entrepreneur, politician and beauty influencer. Agatha Urrah O. remains a model and inspiration for Women and a girl child. She speaks- Idoma, Ufia, Ibibio very fluently and a crack of Hausa and Yoruba Language.
A graduate of political Science from the prestigious university of Abuja, Lady Agatha Urrah, brought her capacity and leadership charisma to bear when she was elected women leader, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ado local government chapter, as she ensured women inclusiveness in the affairs of the local government and drove massive support for the party from women wing as she recorded the highest ever women participation in active politics during her tenure .
Owing to Hon. Agatha’s undying passion for the upliftment of the people and proper representation of the people’s interest, she contested for Ado constituency seat to represent the good people of Ado in the Benue state House of assembly but her dream for the people was impeded and cut short by the intrigues of the male and money centered nature of politics.
Then she proceeded and founded (DOUIA) Daughters of Ufia International Association. It is a woman and girl child right protection and agitation based organization, which has transformed many life’s and has gotten worldwide recognition. DOUIA has membership spanning the globe , from the United Kingdom, France, USA, etc.
Hon. Agatha’s love for humanity has been demonstrated severally through her philanthropic gestures in various ways using the DOUIA platform, along with some amazing sisters of the Ufia stock, they have paid school fees, done medical outreaches and donated furniture and teaching aids to schools , amongst other interventions, within the Ufia nation. She remains a trainer, mentor , entrepreneur, activist and beauty influencer.
