The Shekinah Family, a revival ministry based in Lagos, has commenced activities marking its eighth anniversary with a powerful evangelistic crusade in Bariga, drawing thousands of residents and worshippers to the CMS Primary School in Bariga, Lagos.
The crusade, held as part of the anniversary celebrations, was marked by fervent prayers, worship, healing, salvation and testimonies, as participants gathered to seek the presence of God.

The atmosphere became charged with worship and prayer as the lead Apostle of the Shekinah Family, Apostle Godwin Bassey, ministered to the congregation. Other anointed ministers also took turns leading worship, prayers and exhortations, creating what many participants described as a spiritually uplifting evening.
Several attendees came forward seeking divine intervention for various challenges, while others reportedly gave their lives to Christ or rededicated themselves to Jesus.
For many who attended, the crusade was more than an anniversary event; it was an opportunity for spiritual renewal, encouragement and hope.
The Shekinah Family also extended its anniversary activities beyond the crusade. Clothes and other items were distributed to attendees as part of the outreach.
Announcing the next phase of the programme, Apostle Bassey said the ministry would hold a free medical outreach for members of the Bariga community on September 26, 2026, followed by the grand finale—the 8th Anniversary Service—on the evening of September 27, 2026.

The anniversary celebration is expected to bring together members of the Shekinah Family, residents of Bariga, worshippers and other guests for another evening of worship, thanksgiving and celebration.
Founded in 2018 by Apostle Godwin Bassey, the Shekinah Family describes itself as an interdenominational gathering of people who hunger for God. The movement is centered on worship, music, prayer and revival and is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
The ministry holds its regular Wednesday night gathering in Bariga and has attracted a growing community, particularly young adults passionate about their Christian faith.

As the Shekinah Family celebrates eight years of ministry, its activities in Bariga reflect its emphasis on evangelism, worship, community outreach and spiritual revival.
